 Has anyone heard anything about having to put all the cats to sleep at the local cat shelter....this was going around at work today... It has something to do with the sickness that was at the shelter this last time.....they thought it was isolated.....but guess not..... Do you realize how many cats were there?  ??

It had been announced in last weeks paper that the shelter was closed due to illness.......and in talking with someone that worked there they said the vet was doing all he could to find out what it was...
evidently from what I was told yesturday, they didnt find what caused the illness if they had to put all the cats down.......
sad......

 I have not been able to reach anyone connected with the shelter but as I was going by there today I seen some cats in the window......so it looks to me like the havent put any to sleep or maybe they have a few and the lady that waspassing this info around misunderstood ....I dont know..... I was sure releived to see some in the window...I am gonna call them tomorrow and find out.... I wonder how long it takes to get a topic approved.......I post this same topic at KP and it still hasnt been approved...by the time its approved it will be old news......

Well if it takes days on end just to get a topic approved then I dont see the need to even post anything there.....waste of my time......by the time the topic is posted its old news....besides its kinda dead there.....  |

i'm on 2 forums and both seem to be pretty dead. one has about 5 posts that we're keeping going, and this one there's a few going but i can't seem to find anything i can really talk about

 Ok I talked with one of the people that run the shelter and yes the did have to put 20 cats down but thats it.....those were the ones that were isolated and could not spread what they had to the other cats..... The cats were not gettin any better and they had no choice..... things are ok now at the shelter....
